Girls basketball state tournament: Championship pairings are set in the two biggest classes

In Class 4A, Hopkins will play Maple Grove for the title. In Class 3A, Benilde-St. Margaret’s will take on Marshall.

Twelve teams across three classifications advanced to the semifinal round on Wednesday. Here’s a game-by-game recap of the quarterfinals.

On Thursday, eight Class 1A teams look to move on to the semifinals.

Class 3A

12 p.m.: Benilde-St. Margaret’s 60, Alexandria 52

2 p.m.: Marshall 57, Cretin-Derham Hall 48

Class 4A

3 p.m.: MACCRAY 55, Mayer Lutheran 51

5 p.m.: Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s 65, Sacred Heart 61
