Byron was only other team to move up more than one spot, climbing from No. 10 to No. 8 in Class 3A.
Hopkins, Benilde-St. Margaret’s and Providence Academy begin the 2025 season as the top teams in 4A, 3A and 2A according to the Minnesota Girls Basketball Coaches Association.
Classes 4A, 3A and 2A played it down to four teams Wednesday, and Class 1A will take that step Thursday.
The brackets will be revealed Saturday, and quarterfinals will begin Wednesday.
