Centennial slipped out of the top 10 in the latest rankings and tried to make a case for its return in Tuesday night’s game against Roseville.

Lakeville North replaces rival at No. 1 in Class 4A, while Marshall (3A), Hawley (2A) and Minneota (1A) hold steady in the coaches poll released Sept. 7.

Lakeville South (Class 4A), Marshall (3A), Hawley (2A) and Minneota (1A) retained the top spots in the statewide coaches poll released Aug. 31.

Roseville’s Jayda Wilson hopes to defend her Class 3A pole vault state title. Her 13-1 vault is tied for 16th in the nation.

Jayda Wilson won three events at her True Team section meet, running her season total to 13 championships.

The Raiders, without a 6-footer on the roster, defeated fourth-seeded St. Michael-Albertville. The top three Class 6A seeds all won.
