Six teams make their Top 25 debut this week, three of them from the small-school classification.
At the Breakdown Big Stage at Hopkins, seven of the 14 teams scheduled to compete in the event ranked in the latest Strib Varsity Minnesota Top 25 ranking.
Five more teams, unranked a week ago, found their way into the statewide Minnesota Top 25.

Stillwater boy’s hockey returned from its state runner-up finish in dramatic fashion, defeating Centennial in overtime to open their season on Thursday.
State champions and former Ms. and Mr. Hockey winners are on the list. The highest picks were Logan Hensler of Hill-Murray and Rory Guilday of Minnetonka.
The Spuds’ Mason Kraft equaled John Mayasich with four first-period goals, but the Ponies made it close by the end.
The attendance was an all-time high, and Mason Kraft of Moorhead equaled a John Mayasich achievement. Though it lost, even Stillwater made a mark.
Moorhead won its first title, outracing Stillwater 7-6 on four goals in the first period by Mason Kraft. East Grand Forks triumphed after bringing a .500 record to state.
