The Class 3A team rankings changed considerably, the biggest move by Waconia. A big individual mover showed up in each class.

Undefeated Watertown-Mayer rose to No. 1 in Class 1A in the week’s only change at the top.

Kasson-Mantorville runner David Obst rose suddenly to the top of Class 2A, and St. Paul Como Park surged up the team list.

The lead runners among teams kept their leads in the latest rankings, except in Class 1A, where New London-Spicer and St. Cloud Cathedral rose to Nos. 1 and 2.

The top teams remain unchanged. Esko continues its rise in Class 1A, and Woodbury, Chanhassen, South St. Paul and St. Croix Prep receive fresh notice.

Six teams make the list this week after missing it previously. Three are from Class 2A: DeLaSalle, Mahtomedi and Minneapolis South/Wellstone.

Wayzata and Providence Academy remain at No. 1 in Class 3A and 1A, and Hill-Murray reaches the top of Class 2A after moving up each week this season.

Benilde-St. Margaret’s moved into Class 2A’s premier position; Wayzata (3A) and Providence Academy (1A) remained at No. 1 in the coaches poll released Aug. 31.

The list of 22 players includes Gophers commits, defending state champions and multisport standouts.

Greenway, a senior, replaces Florida Gators guard and Hopkins graduate Alivia McGill on the squad.
