Four of the top 10 teams — Shakopee, Centennial, Elk River and Chanhassen — lost on a night when weather weighed in across the state.

The class-by-class state rankings ahead of Week 4’s games otherwise stayed firm at their peak.

Maple Grove and Minnetonka remain atop the list while Edina and Moorhead slid following loses.

Hopkins’ Jayden Moore leads among undecided seniors. After that, Shakopee’s Blake Betton and fellow 11th-graders dominate the list of available recruits.

Centennial, Champlin Park and Chanhassen entered the top 10, and Byron, Spring Lake Park and Annandale made their debut in the rankings.

Three of the top 10 teams lost Friday night, but two fell to other top-10 teams, and all lost to ranked teams.

Strib Varsity’s Jim Paulsen didn’t see anything to change his mind in a big way, and he doesn’t see much that separates the first four teams.
