Rochester Mayo, Blake and Breck sit at No. 1 in their classes; Eagan’s Cassandra Li, Mankato East’s Sam Williams and Minnehaha Academy’s Chloe Alley lead the individual rankings.
It’s the 50th anniversary of the first championship season. There’s a catch: 1974-75 had two state tournaments. A year later, the MSHSL became involved, setting up another anniversary.

The Bears defeated Litchfield at the Reed-Sweatt Family Tennis Center in Minneapolis to claim the Class 1A team championship.
The Spartans finished the season a perfect 24-0 and are now 50-0 over the past two seasons.
Rochester Mayo’s success is tied directly to its deep and talented roster, which includes senior Claire Loftus, the state’s No. 1-ranked singles player and 2023 singles state champion, and her younger sister, sophomore Aoife, the state’s No. 2-ranked singles player.
Also: Minnehaha Academy’s Chloe Alley wins Class 1A, Section 4 individual singles title to advance to the state tournament.
