Class 6A’s Maple Grove stands alone as a unanimous top pick in the seven football classes.

James Engle lifted Maple Grove over St. Michael-Albertville, Lakeville South caught a break vs. Edina, and Woodbury and Marshall rallied.

Chanhassen quarterback Nathan Ramler called in for a conversation with Randy Shaver, as did football coaches from across Minnesota.

Serious shuffling came to the seven top-10s, but No. 1 teams stood strong.

Lots of movement came to Class 5A, but the top teams in the other classes stayed put.

Warroad running back Conner Lund, Albany coach Mike Ellingson, Orono coach Joe McPherson and Albert Lea coach Paul Dunn were Shaver’s guests this week.

In the only change at the top, Elk River took over at No. 1 in Class 5A.

Hopkins’ Jayden Moore leads among undecided seniors. After that, Shakopee’s Blake Betton and fellow 11th-graders dominate the list of available recruits.
